On behalf of CIPRA International, EUSALP AG3, Piedmont Region and Region Vorarlberg, the call for the Alpine Pluralism Award 2018 has been launched. The idea of the award is to highlight best practices in the Alpine Space with regards to the integration of migrants. Thereby, it will make visible recently started and ongoing activities in the Alpine Space and become a transnational inspiration for others to replicate these practices.

The Alpine Pluralism Award 2018 is embedded into the Alpine Space project PlurAlps – “Enhancing capacities for a pluralistic Alpine Space”. Against the background of combined challenges arising from an ageing population and new migration models, mountainous and peripheral Alpine municipalities and regions are specifically concerned and need technical support and new approaches to develop a welcoming culture. PlurAlps aims to develop and promote such a welcoming culture and to increase the territorial attractiveness and social cohesion of Alpine areas through innovative services and practices for the integration of migrants.

Deadline for submission of proposals: 18 December 2017
