On behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the German Environment Agency and the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention together with the Upper Rhine Cluster for Sustainability Research, all stakeholders are cordially invited to a workshop on ”Eco-innovation supporting a Green Economy in the Alpine region” taking place on 13 November in Basel, Switzerland.
The topics to be discussed will be:
+ how to foster Green Economy in the Alpine region through eco-innovation activities of research institutions, companies, networks and clusters;
+ successful eco-innovation experiences in the Alpine region (e.g. Upper Rhine Cluster for Sustainability Research, Smart Specialisation with Smart Clusters);
+ further needs to bring new knowledge to the market and chances to scale up the interplay between science and entrepreneurs.
The workshop is intended to bring together all committed actors within the Alps – from enterprises to associations, public authorities and research institutions – who wish to contribute to its transition into a Green Economy.
The workshop will be held in English and, if required, with translation to French and German.
To allow for sufficient time for exchange and discussion, the number of participants is limited to 30 persons.
