Main objectives
The objective of this proposal is to increase the efficient of governance in Alpine territories through the use of two existing tools and approaches: open licenses and collaborative practices. Open licenses allow to increase the use of content and data; the possibility of using content and data allows commercial and non commercial fall-outs, the production of new tools and app, the creation of new business and the opportunity of modify, translate and distribute existing content. Collaborative practices are enabled by open licenses and they imply the active role of the civic society in using existing content and producing new content (maps, images, comments, texts) to engage with their territory and in its governance.
Description of activities
* Networking and Involvement of city councils. * Training related to open data, open governance, authorizations, the use of Open Street Map (OSM) and the Wikimedia projects as online collaborative open repositories. * Training for local organisations about the use of Open Street Map (OSM) and the Wikimedia projects as online collaborative open repositories. * Release of content with open licenses. * Implementation of digitalizations and uploads (new content and content from previous Alpine related projects released with open licenses).
