Main objectives
H2M2 project is aiming at the clean hydrogen mobility in a rural territory in mountain area. Indeed, in such countries with large elevation variations and low temperatures in winter, hydrogen provides a solution to the limited range and comfort of the purely electric vehicles, cars, vans, buses and lorries. However, the exploitation of a fleet of hydrogen vehicles in rural area requires a network of charging stations with limited capacity and low operation cost.
Description of activities
The project Hydrogen Mountain Mobility will develop small hydrogen charging stations, typically 25 kg/day, without mechanical compressors, with very limited maintenance and integrating hydrogen production from renewable energy. The optimization of the operation of these small stations in relation with the local electricity grid will be part of the project.Evaluation of vehicle requirements
Envisaged outcomes
evaluation of technical aspects of charging stations installation and demonstration of charging stations demonstration of hydrogen vehicles demonstration of the exploitation of a hydrogen vehicle fleet in a rural & mountain territory
