Main objectives
The main objective of the project is to promote cultural regeneration as a tool for touristic development in the Alpine Space area. The key to the project is the role of culture and art in strategic planning processes for the upgrading and valorization of lesser known destinations, by also providing an important tool for the safeguard of cultural and artistic heritage in the area. For these reasons, it will integrate the development of a common governance tool with the creation of new tools for creative and artistic enterprises development. It will promote the reuse of abandoned building and structure and/or the development of landmarks. By promoting these activities, the project will develop a common touristic package for the area, focused on artistic and cultural heritage.
Description of activities
- Promoting policies and experiences of integration between culture, art and territory: from the soft reclamation of brownfield spaces (abandoned, derelict or underused) to cultural regeneration; - Support a culture-centered tourism by developing an integrated and innovative tourist offer. In this framework it is possible to imagine tourism as a privileged element for defining new coastal governance strategies as a unifying and catalyzing element for the entire region; - Define and manage a shared narrative; - Strengthen relations between coasts and internal territories, promote relationships between areas with lesser visibility and landscape features, traditions, and cultures, favoring a new perception of places (even remote and minor).
