Geothermal in the Alpine Space - GRETA mid-term conference
During the GRETA conference on 7 November 2017, municipal representatives and renewable energy experts will gather in Salzburg to discuss the opportunities and challenges of near-surface geothermal energy, illustrated by best practice examples. The GRETA project, like PEACE_Alps, supports municipalities in furthering their energy action plans.
GRETA stands for “Near-surface geothermal Resources in the Territory of the Alpine Space” and aims to improve the sustainable use of near-surface geothermal resources in order to achieve substantial CO2 emissions reductions. GRETA facilitates the integration of geothermal resources in planning tools such as strategic energy plans and fosters its use by both private and public actors. The project also supports the harmonization of laws, permits and operational criteria for near-surface geothermal in the Alpine Space.
Climate Alliance, in cooperation with the entire GRETA consortium, invites all interested stakeholders to join this special event. Participation is free of charge.
