2018 is the second year for AlpFoodway project, which started at the end of 2016. As the first results are emerging from ethnographic research in Alpine food culture and from the desk and field analysis of Intangible Cultural Heritage Alpine Food commercial valorisation practices, AlpFoodway is drawing the attention of many different institutions committed to cultural heritage, sustainable food systems and local development.

The result is an incredibly busy agenda, with presentations in trainings, research meetings and conferences in several different countries. Below, you can find the main events AlpFoodway will take part to, this coming May.

May 3rd, Bormio (SO – Italy): AlpFoodway will be presented at the Sala Conferenze of Bormio Terme during the meeting "Valorisation of local assets and impact on tourism" realized within the training course "Mountain 4.0: a future to be built together" organaized by the Società Economica Valtellinese and the Municpality of Bormio.

May 14th, Turin (Italy): AlpFoodway will be featured in the “Unesco Intangible Heritage of Humanity and development of mountain areas" conference organised by Centro Studi Silvia Santagata at Salone Internazionale del Libro.

May 16th, Marseille (France): Prof. Rinallo and Dr. Pitardi from AlpFoodway partner Kedge Business School will be at Global responsibility, now! – conference, where they will present AlpFoodway in a poster session and in an elevator pitch session.

May 25th, Bled (Slovenia): AlpFoodway will present its model for sustainable development at CIPRA annual conference, which focuses on tourism and sustainability. AlpFoodway project manager and the Slovenian partners of the project will be present.

May 28th, Montpellier (France): AlpFoodway has been invited to present its research activities at the "Food cultural heritage and terroir" research day organised by the MOISA multidisciplinary research group of the University of Montpellier. Participating researchers will get a chance to learn about some of the first results of AlpFoodway research in marketing of Alpine heritage food.
