  • AlpES WebGIS

    The Institute for Interdisciplinary Mountain Research of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW/IGF),  has been developing an interactive and interoperable AlpES WebGIS that makes ecosystem services (ES) indicators and its metadata available to the AlpES stakeholders. The feedback received from the stakeholder involvement activity, proved to be valuable input for furthering the development of the WebGIS.

  • 5th project partner meeting successfully held in Courmayeur

    Our 5th project partner meeting took place from the 05th to the 06th of June in Courmayeur (IT), just in front of the wonderful setting of the Mont Blanc Massif.

  • Digest on Ecosystem Services in the Alps are now available.

    Within WPT1 project partner ifuplan developed digests based on the main work package deliverables. The input and feedback of all other project partners contributed to the finalisation of three booklets of twelve pages disseminating different topics connected to ecosystem services in the Alpine Space.

  • Analysis of the Questionnaire on Symbolic Species

    Plants, animals and landscapes used as symbols for the Alps are closely interwoven with human culture and were thus reflected in art, literature, mythology, religion, and music and are occasionally used to symbolize political attitudes and societal values.
