Work Package 1: Identification & inventory of Alpine Food Intangible Cultural Heritage
WP responsible partner: Lombardy Region
Goal is to generate sustainable development in the Alpine Space and offer future generations living opportunities in mountain areas through the realisation of an inventory of the extraordinarily diverse Alpine food cultural heritage. It will examine the value chain connecting agriculture, food, productive landscape and economical aspects to identify Alpine Intangible Cultural Heritage core values and contribute to make a transnational Alpine identity emerge.

Explore ethical and legal issues related to traditional knowledge in the Alpine food heritage chain with specific reference to the interaction between different levels of regulations, the social use of land and property, the definition of collective Intellectual Property Rights suitable for food heritage chains, and measures to prevent/reduce the risk of illegal exploitation and favour the sustainable commercialisation of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
