  • AlpSib discussed at the “Work, Employment and Society Conference” in Belfast

    The University of Applied Sciences in Vorarlberg (FHV) submitted an abstract about Social Impact Bonds (SIBs) to the conference Work, Employment and Society (WES 2018), which took place between the 12th and 14th of September 2018 in Belfast. The conference was organized by the WES conference committee together with the British Sociological Association. The thematic focus of the conference was 'Putting Sociology to Work: Interdisciplinarity, intersectionality and imagination'.

    On 13th July 2018 the forst press conference was organised in Pordenone by the Municipality of Pordenone and the Technology Park Pordenone. It followed and discussed the capital-matching event that took place at the beginning of the month in Milano. 

  • Capital-matching event in Milano

    On Monday, 2nd July 2018 new projects in the social field that can be financed by impact investing's new innovative financial instruments were presented to investors in Milan at the Cariplo Foundation, with the collaboration of the Forum for Sustainable Finance that brings together about eighty members of the world of finance, through which private investors and public administration could sign a contract to implement projects in the social field. Through the SIBs, the social sector operators will be able to finance prevention and general interest services and the private entity will only be able to return from the investment when measurable and quantifiable results are achieved with a shared indicator system.
