Description:
Developments on the travel market show that the tourism for the acquisition of new clients on the Internet no longer any way around it. The successful positioning of all destinations and service providers are increasingly held on the Internet. Of the 30 million Germans, who already have experience with planning and booking trips, led in the previous year 80% of their holiday arrangements or bookings online. Revenues in the European online travel market in 2008 was already at 70 billion euros. The online travel market share of 2008 at total is 28%.
Main objectives:
The goal of the project is to acquire more guests via the internet in the alpe region– therefore we educated touristical small and medium enterprises. Further we try to improve more of professional skills in tourism SMEs. The Destination employee becomes an IT Supervisor trained and is the contact for tourist accommodation in question around the etourism field. Also a kind of virtual elearning should be one important part. Another project part is the etourism market observations and baseline surveys.
