Development of a "Digital Resource Exchange for Sustainable Raw Materials" User View - Research - Practice
On Thursday, 04 July 2019, the AlpBioEco project partner "KErn", in cooperation with fortiss GmbH and BioCampus, will organise an information event followed by a design thinking workshop on renewable raw materials and residues at BioCampus in Straubing.
Climate protection, energy efficiency, biodiversity, nutrition of the growing world population and optimal use of resources are among the megatrends of the 21st century. How can we develop efficient solutions to global and regional challenges while improving people's individual quality of life? The Federal Government's National Research Strategy Bioeconomy 2030 focuses on sustainable management with bio-based raw materials, away from fossil raw materials and towards the sensible use of renewable raw and residual materials.

In the context of biobased management, the State Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry (StMELF) supports the project "Digital Resource Exchange for Sustainable Raw Materials". As an online marketplace, it is intended to create a novel trading platform for producers and buyers of renewable raw materials and residues. The aim of the project is to bring together players in the bio-based economy, to support the creation of value chain networks, and to promote new sales lines and procurement channels.
