During the two days of the EUSALP Forum, CIPRA International and the EUSALP AG3 shared a common stand and presented some of the actions that were developed in the past months. The Autonomous Province of Trento presented their 10 points for dual education, whereas CIPRA International showcased the project PlurAlps. The stand received numerous visitors, many of which were students.
On 20th November an official ceremony took place during the plenary session, to honor the winners of the Alpine Pluralism Award in Innsbruck. The region Tyrol has financially supported the project, which allowed CIPRA International Lab to offer a prize money to the winners. The winners of the Alpine Pluralism Award 2018 were welcomed on stage by Mr. Andreas Pfeiffer who asked them about the main challenges related to migration and integration in the communities. The official certificates were delivered by Mr. Günther Platter (Governor of the Tyrol Region), Mr. Sergio Chiamparino (President of the Piedmont Region), Mr. Raffaele Cattaneo (Regional Councillor for the Environment and Climate of the Lombardy Region) and Mr. Walter Deffaa (European Commission - REGIO).
About 1,000 people were present at the award ceremony. On this occasion the PlurAlps project was able to convey its central theme to an important target group.
On the second day of the Forum, CIPRA International, together with Regio-V, facilitated the workshop on pluralisms. The workshop started with an introduction about the importance that European funding treaties give to pluralism where it was made clear that Pluralism is not a static state, but rather an active seeking of understanding.
The workshop went on with some ice-breaking activities that were used to create a space for an exchange among the participants and to make pluralism in the room concrete.
The second part of the workshop was dedicated to discussing the winning projects of the Alpine Pluralism Award. Ms Nina Missethon from Styria/AT presented the project Talent for Austria and Ms Giulia Jannelli from Valle Stura/IT presented the project Germinale Agricoltura Comunitaria. Mr Rober Moosbrugger facilitated a group work on the white paper on which some of the PlurAlps partners are working on.
