CICERONE is developing a platform for EU programme owners to coordinate and collaborate on priority research and innovation (R&I) actions on circular economy. Part of this process is the development of the circular economy strategic research and innovation agenda (SRIA).

The purpose of this survey is to get feedback from EU programme owners of circular economy funding programmes and the advisory board of the CICERONE project on the draft SRIA. The draft SRIA consists of a brief introduction and four joint programmes on:
1) Circular Cities
2) Circular Industries
3) Closing the Loop (in value chains) and
4) Resource Efficiency on Territory and Sea

Please review one or more joint programmes in the draft SRIA and then respond to several questions in this survey. The draft SRIA is available here:

In answering the following questions, please keep in mind that the SRIA developed before the current Covid-19 crisis and therefore does not reflect the latest changes to circular economy priorities due to the crisis. We understand that the situation is rapidly changing but if you already have any insights on the possible outcome after the crisis then please keep that in mind when answering the questions in this survey. Otherwise, we kindly ask that you simply fill in this survey to the best of your abilities and with the acknowledgement that the situation can still be uncertain.

This survey closes on 25 May 2020. If you have any questions, please contact Alexandra Wu (

Thank you very much for your participation!
