On 14.04.2021 the DigithON Green Mountain event took place online with a special focus on the digitization of sustainable and alpine technologies. The online event matched SMEs from across the alpine region with digital solution providers under the slogan "Embrace digital solutions to make your business more sustainable, agile and stronger: For a sustainable business in the Alpine region".

In the morning session, participants were invited to an inspiring talk by Prof. Alexander Wurzer, expert on IP management and digital patents. After that, 8 digital providers from the fields of digitalization, sustainability and alpine technologies pitched their innovative solutions and technologies.

In the afternoon, participants had the opportunity to expand their network in individual 1:1 meetings to find possible cooperation partners. The addressed topics of this event included Alpine Technologies, Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Circular Economy, sustainable Materials, Textiles and Mobility.

A total of 158 registered participants from 12 different countries (mainly from the Alpine Region) participated to this international event, including representatives from Austria (69), Italy (36), Switzerland (19), Slovenia (12), France, Germany, Spain, Lithuania, Greece, UK, Ukraine and Brazil.

The results have been impressive, with a total of 102 Meetings (56 Transnational Meetings + 46 National Meetings) in the afternoon session and 21 Support Offices to coordinate the meetings and help the participants.

Via this event, international networking became possible. The pandemic made it very challenging for many companies to find new cooperation partners and to interactively exchange ideas with other people or other parties.

One of the main expected results of this international matchmaking event is finding the right international cooperation partners or the information they are looking for to realize their project idea, as well as holding inspiring conversations and meeting new people to discuss potential future projects/cooperations.
