Bioeconomy Strategies: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia

In recent years, the EU has established its own bioeconomy policy.  An important step in this process has been the Bioeconomy Strategy „Innovating for Sustainable Growth – A Bioeconomy Strategy for Europe“ , which was launched by the European Commission in 2012. Building on this, an update of the bioeconomy strategy with the title “A sustainable bioeconomy for Europe: strengthening the connection between economy, society and the environment” was published in 2018.

Based on the EU-wide bioeconomy strategy, the EU countries have also developed their own Bioeconomy Strategy Plans. The National Bioeconomic Strategies include guidelines, objectives and implementation measures.
