The AlpBioEco project has 13 observer organisations from Germany, France, Italy, Slovenia, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. Our Observers are interested in the success and the results of the project. In the following you find more information about the AlpBioEco observer organisations and their interest in and benefits from participating in the project.
Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure; Unit G 31 - European Spatial Development/Territorial Cohesion (Germany)

Federal interest consists in promotion of regional value chains for new utilization possibilities of traditionally regional products in the area of bioeconomy. AlpBioEco contributes to spatial development by enabling to preserve regional structures in long term. BMVI supports AlpBioEco within the framework of the “Federal Transnational Cooperation Programme” by contributing to the national co-financing of the Lead Partner City of Sigmaringen.
BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg GmbH (Germany)

BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg GmbH, a state-owned agency, is the key player in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, for bioeconomy having a longtime experience with a focus on establishing new value chains in the bio-based industry. BIOPRO disseminates knowledge from the EU Interreg project „DanuBioValNet“ and from its daily work in the bio-based industry in Baden-Württemberg to AlpBioEco. Moreover, it informs other stakeholders in Germany and in the Danube region about the ongoing of AlpBioEco.
Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food (Slovenia)

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food follows the project activities. It is responsible for agricultural and food sector innovation and development on a national level. The Ministry uses the project results for developing and implementing national policy and/or tools.

AlpBioEco’s results can be provided to all associated communities and municipalities for local economic development and for the valorisation of the mountains territories. AlpBioEco increases the network of the UNCEM and forsters its impacts on an intern level. UNCEM gathers information about practical solutions for boosting eco-innovation along bio-based food production value chains in Alpine Regions. By reaching good practices, UNCEM takes advantage of the outcomes that are enhancing smart sustainable economy and valorising the territories.
Vereinigung Bäuerlicher Organisationen im Fürstentum Liechtenstein (VBO) (Liechtenstein)

VBO is an Alpine agricultural association in Liechtenstein focusing on modern, economical, multifunctional and sustainable agricultural aspects. AlpBioEco's outcomes provides valuable input and new approaches for VBO's target groups. VBO is in close contact with AlpBioEcos project partners by following AlpBioEco's activities. VBO uses AlpBioEco's outcomes in developing and implementing new approaches for its target groups. AlpBioEco can use VBO's network to spread the project progress and results to a policy level.
Ministry of Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection Baden-Wuerttemberg (Germany)

The Ministry of Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection is developing the strategy "Sustainable Bioeconomy for BW". The value chains of bio-based food and botanical extracts are among the key topics. The Ministry of Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection contributes knowledge from its daily work in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, in the field of bioeconomy to AlpBioEco. It informs other stakeholders in Baden-Württemberg, Germany about the progress of AlpBioEco.
Regional Planning Group Nordostschweiz (RPG NO) (Switzerland)

RPG NO is a section of the Swiss association for regional planning for the east of Switzerland with 7 members, 7 cantons, 200 municipalities and 40 collectives. It is an information and discussion platform focussing on enhancement of a sustainable use of habitats. RPG NO stays in close contact to AlpBioEco, it communicates AlpBioEco's activities and outcomes to a broad audience and it provides access to SMEs in Switzerland, so that the Alpine regions can benefit from AlpBioEco’s results.
Polo Poschiavo (Switzerland)

As EUSALP AG6 SG2 co-leader, Polo Poschiavo is interested in the outcomes of AlpBioEco. Polo Poschiavo participates in value chain analysis, coaching activities, regional workshops and dissemination of the results within Polo Poschiavo’s wide Alpine network on a regional and local level in Graubünden, Switzerland.
Chamber of Agriculture Vorarlberg (Austria)

The Chamber of Agriculture Vorarlberg uses AlpBioEco's findings to complement its lobbying activities. The results of AlpBioEco are used for consultative activities to support processing, handcraft Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the field of food/agriculture, environment and health. It observes AlpBioEco's progress and results in order to spread promising activities of the valuation of cultivated and wild harvested herbs and high-quality mountain hay.
Regional Direction of Food, Agriculture and Forestry of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (France)

DRAAF PACA supports agriculture, food systems and modernisation of farms. Food and Agriculture are important economical activities of the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur (PACA) region. In particular, fruit farming in PACA represents 30% of national revenue and herbs represents 25%. AlpBioEco is in accordance with the french national plan about bioeconomy coordinated by DRAAF. DRAAF's mission is to implement this plan into action. Therefore AlpBioEco is suitable to answer these national ambitions. DRAAF benefits of the AlpBioEco's results to transfer them to other regional and national authorities.
Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regional administration (PACA) (France)

PACA region administration has defined its economical development strategy through 12 “regional interested actions" and one of them is naturality. AlpBioEco's objective is in accordance with the regional ambition to boost bio-based products. PACA benefits of the developed tools and good practical solutions of the transnational AlpBioEco partners. AlpBioEco feeds the regional strategy on naturality, it alines regional actions in accordance to EU strategy and identifies new EU partnerships for PACA.
Food Competence Network (Switzerland)

The Food Competence Network, in german: Kompetenznetzwerk Ernährungswirtschaft (KNW-E), works along the value chain of the agro food-sector. KNW-E gives solutions to Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the agro food-sector on the constantly changing challenges which are part of AlpBioEco and therefore interesting for KNW-E. KNW-E provides AlpBioEco a comprehensive network with business partners, associations, SME all over Switzerland and along the whole chain of the agro food-sector. KNW-E gives solutions to SME in the agro food-sector on challenges of markets and transfers knowledge from research to practice.
Bern University of Applied Sciences, School of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences (Switzerland)

The HAFL focuses on agricultural, forest and food sciences. AlpBioEco works on similiar topics and is therefore of high interest for HAFL. The HAFL focuses on agricultural, forest and food sciences. The HAFL has good links to the agro-food industries and research institutions which makes HAFL a valuable observer of AlpBioEco to exchange knowledge and to spread results.
