AlpBioEco Explainer Video

The explainer video presents the main information about the project and its main outputs in Slovenian language with Englisch subtitles. In four years, 13 partners from 5 EU countries were developing and testing various eco innovative business models in the value chains of apples, walnuts and herbs. This video emphasizes the importance of bioeconomy and implementation of innovative bioeconomy business practices in the Alpine regions and beyond. It was produced within the AlpBioEco project by Project Partner Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS-Chamber of Agricultural and Food Enterprises) in cooperation with Miss Moose Studio and it was launched for the first time at the Slovenian project’s final event in April 2021.

The video can be used further for the educational and communication purposes.

In the work package T3 of the European Interreg Project AlpBioEco, under the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS-Chamber of Agricultural and Food Enterprises), seven selected business model blueprints were validated and tested to check them for feasibility. This video presents one of the eco-innovative business practices in the herbal value chain. CCIS-Chamber of Agricultural and Food Enterprises visited the company Bonistra Ltd. in Krkavče, Slovenia, that grows local herbs and makes eco herbal essential oils and hydrolates to develop the business model of the herbal pacifier.

The City of Sigmaringen planted a young walnut tree as a symbol of the bioeconomy 

To conclude the AlpBioEco project, which ends mid-April 2021, the city of Sigmaringen, lead partner of the project, planted a young walnut tree as a symbol of the bioeconomy in the German region of Baden-Württemberg.
