  • REGISTRATION NOW OPEN: Final Conference - 'Shaping the Future of Climate Change Adaptation in the Alpine Countries', 24th April 2019, Vienna

    What can we learn from the experiences of Alpine countries in governing and implementing their climate adaptation policies so far? What are success factors, good practice examples, and future challenges? Which innovations and enhancement options are needed for well-governed climate adaptation - between levels, sectors, and countries?

    The Final Conference of the GoApply project will tackle these questions. It will take place on 24th April 2019 as a public one-day Climate Adaptation Governance Lab at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna, back-to-back with the Austrian Climate Day 2019 (25th – 26th April 2019).

  • 2nd funding phase of the Austrian KLAR! programme for climate adaptation model regions has started

    20 Austrian climate adaptation model regions funded by the KLAR! funding programme (Climate and Energy Funds) have started to implement their planned adaptation measures.

  • Expert workshop on climate change adaptation governance in Kempten (Allgäu), Germany

    Pilot stakeholder participation format successfully conducted by GoApply project partner German Federal Environment Agency together with local decision makers in the city of Kempten.

  • 4th meeting of the Alpine Climate Board, 4th-5th April 2018, Vienna

    GoApply Lead Partner Environment Agency Austria (Umweltbundesamt) participated in an expert role in the 4th session of the Alpine Climate Board (ACB) of the Alpine Convention. The ACB is working towards a target system for climate-neutral and climate-resilient Alps.

  • International Science-Practice Lab (Ittigen, Switzerland): Cooking up some fresh ideas on how to improve the governance of climate adaptation

    The GoApply Science-Practice Lab on 16th May 2018 in Ittigen/Bern (Switzerland) brought together 40 international participants from 7 countries. The event was hosted by the Swiss GoApply partner Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) and organised and facilitated by subcontractor WSL. By emplyoing a range of interactive discussion formats, the lab yielded fresh insights and new ideas on how to improve the governance of climate adaptation.
