LP ENEA - Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development
ENEA is a public research organization with multidisciplinary competences. Among the others, research teams are experienced in IMEAS areas of intervention, like energy systems, pathways analysis, renewable energy, biomass, energy planning, simulation, sustainable mobility, EE measures. ENEA has a role in developing, implementing strategies at various levels, local & regional (research centres/offices supporting PAs/SMEs), national (support to Ministries, polices, enterprises) and in strengthening Country’s innovation capacity and enterprises competitiveness in energy saving/efficiency. In charge of the National coordination of the Covenant of Mayors, ENEA is active in transnational activities & projects, with a liason office in Brussels.
PP AURA EE - Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Energy Environment Agency
The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Energy Environment Agency (former RAEE) is the regional sustainability agency of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Created in 1978 with the support of the Regional Council, the agency aims at promoting, co-ordinating and developing programmes and actions in favour of sustainable energies in the building and transport sectors, climate change mitigation and adaptation, environment protection and sustainable development. Its activities are mainly targeted at local and regional authorities of the public and social sectors. The agency is accompanying them through their process of project development and implementation as well as the definition of local policies and programmes.
PP EIV - Energy Institute Vorarlberg
The Vorarlberg Energy Institute is a non-profit organisation that offers services to support and develop sustainable energy systems. Its main purpose is to promote sensible and efficient energy consumption by using renewable energy sources, which includes buildings as well as aspects of mobility. Its task is to prepare specialized information and distribute it to target groups. Consultation is supplemented by training sessions for citizens, experts, communal representatives as well as comprehensive media relations. Main point of renewable energy is to encourage heating that uses solar energy, heat pumps and biomass energy. EIV supports the use of environment friendly building material and the necessary integration of quality rating-systems.
PP VLBG - Federal State Vorarlberg
The regional government of Vorarlberg employs about 1,600 people. Its activities are the enforcement of state laws, the adoption of federal law and ordering many different tasks of the state and federal government in the forms of private sector management. The energy department belongs to the department of Economics and is very deeply involved in the elaboration of regional and municipal energy and climate protection programs. The main tasks are: implementation of the program Energy Independence Vorarlberg; development and implementation of subsidies in the energy sector, advising the provincial government on energy issues; creation of energy management reports and energy statistics; representation in the federation and institutions.
PP FA - Foundation for the Environment
FA is a non profit research center specialized in energy & environmental policies at local level and in economic regulation of local public services and infrastructures (with the brand “Turin School of Local Regulation”). Specific expertise is related to stakeholder analysis to investigate information, incentives & relationships amongst local actors with regards to integrated planning, investment decisions & policy design. This expertise comes also from the endogenous characteristic of being founded by 24 entities: local universities, Turin metropolitan utilities, local Chamber of commerce, Metropolitan city of Turin, regional government and local provincial governments of Piedmont.
PP KSSENA - Energy Agency of Savinjska, Šaleška and Koroška Region
KSSENA offers a substantial amount of expertise relevant to the project proposal, gained trough the successful implementation of numerous activities in the field of energy efficiency, exploitation of renewable energy sources and energy management of local communities. The Agency has experience in the development of local energy concepts, sustainable energy action plans as well as providing feedback on proposed national energy strategies. KSSENA will benefit from the outlined cooperation primarily by being able to contribute considerations that are relevant on the national/local level in Slovenia to the development of the policy action plans, ensuring the interest of their founders and client base are represented within these recommendations.
PP MOC - Municipality of Celje
MOC is one of the frontrunners in the field of energy efficiency and use of renewable energy in public sector – continuously refurbishments of public buildings, installation of PV plants on rooftops, implementation of energy management in public buildings etc. Strong political awareness will help to implement new measures and models into Local Energy Concepts (LEC) and Municipality action plans. MOC is also very active in fulfilling Convent of Mayors goals, and new policies and measures will help to achieve and overcome these goals. In 2015 MOC confirm the SEAP, where committed itself to accomplish 20,02% reduction of GhG by 2020, in order to achieve these goals numerous new polices, actions and measures will have to be implemented.
PP PAT - Autonomous Province of Trento
Provincial Agency for Water Resources and Energy-is a Technical Dep. of the Autonomous Province of Trento. It provides technical assistance in the design of energy policies, programs, outreach, funding sources and dissemination of energy awareness. APRIE has three main focus areas on energy topics: regional energy planning, policies and actions for the promotion of RES and the improvement of EE at the local and regional level. By virtue of a special Statute signed in 1972, the Autonomous Province of Trento enjoys a very wide legislative, administrative and financial autonomy in all the most important fields of public government, including, planning, programming and implementing the provincial energy policy in its territory.
PP BAUM - B.A.U.M. Consult GmbH München
BAUM supports enterprises, municipalities, regions and governmental institutions with consultancy. It manages research and development projects and programs, runs knowledge platforms and experience exchange events on behalf of governmental and entrepreneurial organizations. BAUM has created more than 30 regional and municipal energy plans and stays in contact with respective public authorities. Under the contract of Bavarian, Austrian and German ministries B.A.U.M. does strategy consulting and leads research projects. In the framework of ERA-Net Smart Grids Plus, BAUM cooperates with ministries and funding agencies in 21 countries and regions. BAUM mainly acts to link the methodologies of SEAPs to a new European Energy System and Market.
eza! is a public non-profit organization. eza! was founded by regional municipalities, businesses and action groups to promote EE and RES, and it works on behalf of municipalities and regional administrations. The services include media work and organization of events, consultations, training schemes and support for energy policies. eza! is involved in the elaboration of municipal energy plans for municipalities and regional authorities. eza! is regional office and consultant for the European Energy Award, a management system for municipal energy policy.
PP CREM - Center for Energy and Municipal Research
CREM works towards improving urban planning in direct contact with municipalities. Its expertise focus on territorial energy planning through multiple level data collection and processing with robust models and analysis and scenario simulations for energy demand and supply-side dynamics visualization. This work is used for: energy networks management; development of energy conversion technology models at various scales; RE integration in urban zones; GIS and web-based decision-support tools; synergies among scientific community, local authorities and other social and economic actors. Through a national program (European equivalent of “European Energy Award”), CREM supports Municipalities in implementing and following energy policies.
PP ISD - Liechtenstein Institute for Strategic Development
ISD main activities focus on: governance policy, planning, community participation and energy strategic planning. It prepares private and public entities to become more resilient to climatic, energetic and economic changes. It develops Multi Level Governance energy master plans and provides sustainability advice on urban development projects. ISD works for cities, towns, regional organisations, international aid bodies and private companies focused on the business of sustainable urban and regional development. A particularly important aspect of its work is geared towards effective strategic and operational large-scale urban development advice.
