    The IMEAS project, which addresses the policy silo problem in regards to integrated and multilevel energy planning, has entered the second half of its duration. For developed tools and guidelines IMEAS partners prepared an internal Train the Trainers session.

    Workshop KGA (Kommunaler Gebäudeausweis) organized by the IMEAS project partner Energieinstitut Vorarlberg (EIV), attracted representatives from 15 municipalities of Vorarlberg.

  • IEA: Global Energy Demand Grew by 2.1% Last Year

    Global energy demand rose by 2.1% in 2017, more than twice the previous year's rate, and reached an estimated 14,050 million tonnes of oil equivalent (Mtoe), compared with 10,035 Mtoe in 2000. Energy demand was boosted by strong global economic growth, with oil, gas and coal meeting most of the increase in demand for energy, and renewables seeing impressive gains, said the International Energy Agency (IEA) in a press release, citing the Global Energy & CO2 Status Report, which was released on Wednesday. Fossil fuels accounted for over 70% of the growth in world energy demand last year and carbon emissions rose for the first time since 2014.

  • IMEAS Project Meeting and Training for trainers

    On 16.-19. April 2018 IMEAS project partners, IMEAS Sounding Board members and some project Observers will meet together in Lyon in organization of project partner Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Energy Environment Agency (AURA-EE). First two days are reserved for Project meeting together with workshop on the Platform brand identity and last two days for Training for trainers and capacity building sessions on the models, guidelines and tools for a multi-dimensional approach to a low-carbon energy system, to be shared on the IMEAS web Community Platform.
