PEACE_Alps

PEACE_Alps aims to set up innovative centralized solutions for several local authorities at a time, providing economy of scale and higher quality than the isolated approach. Currently, the project is looking for organizaitons in Alpine Space who would be interested to replicate the method in their own region.

The networking event that took place in Kempten on the 20th of June 2017 focused on linking stakeholders municipalities and other multipliers together to find similar fields of interest in order to combat climate change and develop the right adaptation measures.

During the GRETA conference on 7 November 2017, municipal representatives and renewable energy experts will gather in Salzburg to discuss the opportunities and challenges of near-surface geothermal energy, illustrated by best practice examples. The GRETA project, like PEACE_Alps, supports municipalities in furthering their energy action plans.

Saignelégier is situated in the heart of the Swiss regional Nature Park Doubs and served as the venue of all PEACE_Alps partner organizations on May 3 and 4, 2017. Beside the reports on the progress made within the project, the focus was on exchange and discussion among the eleven Alpine Space partners in order to share their rich experience and expertise.
