  • Sharing success stories at PEACE_Alps meeting in Weiz, Austria

    It was mid-term for the project PEACE_Alps „Municipalities join efforts for sustainable and concrete energy solutions“ – when partners met at the Innovation Center W.E.I.Z., Austria in November to share success stories and discuss next steps for the engagement campaign in Alpine Space area.

  • The PEACE_Alps project: a concrete support for municipalities

    Municipalities have been called to play a leading role in mitigation and adaptation processes to climate change. This is especially true for the Alpine space area, where the effects of climate change often occur with devastating consequences. In order to better address these challenges, many municipalities have developed strategic documents.

  • First night festival in Fontaines (CH) delights citizens

    The project PEACE_Alps, through the regional Park Chasseral, gave impetus to the organization of the first night festival in Fontaines, one of the villages of the municipality of Val-de-Ruz. This evening was the kick-off of a 6-month test phase of the shutdown of public lighting.

  • PEACE_Alps workshops in Brussels - European Week of Regions 2017

    The project had the chance to  be presented during two standing events at the  European Week of Region and Cities, highlighting the central rule of regions in facing some important challenges in the coming future as climate change, the need to enhance the use of renewable energies and to invest more in innovation.

  • From political goals to action on regional level - CA conference in Essen, Germany

    Climate Alliance International Conference “Transforming our municipalities ‒ From goals to action” took place from 20 – 22 September 2017 in Essen, Germany. PEACE_Alps organized the workshop “From political goals to action on the regional level” with contributions from Basque Government (Spain), the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany), Union of Slovak Cities (Slovakia) and from the PEACE_Alps partner Innovationszentrum W.E.I.Z.
