Chairman, S3 Expert: PhD Dominique Foray

Dominique Foray is Full Professor at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and holds the Chair of Economics and Management of Innovation (CEMI). He is a member of the National Research Council (Switzerland); the Advisory Board of the Swiss Economic Institute (KOF); and a foreign member of the Center of Capitalism and Society (Columbia University, New York). He is also a new member of the Expert Commission for Research and Innovation (E-FI) of Germany. From 2008 to 2011, he served as chairman of the expert group “Knowledge for Growth”.

Cluster Expert: Lennart Svensson

Since 2006 Lennart Svensson has been responsible for the process to develop an International Innovation Strategy for Skåne. He has been participating in the development of new methods for incubation, new business centres and a number of new cluster initiatives as Mobile Heights, Training Regions, Media Evolution and Pack Bridge. Today he is member of the board of four of six clusters initiatives in Skåne. Between 2009 and 2011 he has, together with the actors, developed new systemic management environments as the Research and Innovation Council (FIRS) and a Soundingboard Innovation (SBI). In 2011, Skåne completed the work on the International Innovation Strategy for Skåne. During the last years Lennart Svensson has been engaged in the development of a new cluster strategy focusing on open innovation and platforms. In 2013 he was appointed as Chairperson of the European Forum for Clusters in Emerging Industries (EFCEI). Since the beginning of 2016 he act as a senior strategist in the strategic areas, Smart Material and Personalized Health.

Finance Expert: Walter Winetzhammer

After completing his studies of business economics at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria, Walter Winetzhammer worked for several years in the fields of marketing and business consulting.
For mot than 25 year he has been working at the Office of the Upper Austrian Provincial Government Department for Economy - Directorate for Regional Planning, Economic and Rural Development. He has long-standing professional experience in finance, business and research funding. The main focus of his activity is among others the participation in the development of strategic economic programs for Upper Austria. Furthermore he represents the economic interests of Upper Austria in the following committees: Supervisory Board of Profactor GmbH, TechCenter Linz-Winterhafen and Pro2Future GmbH as well as in the Advisory Board of the department ‘Clusterland’ at Business Upper Austria – the Upper Austrian business agency.

Cluster Manager: Christian Altmann

Christian Altmann is working for the Upper Austrian Business Agency and responsible for all cluster and network initiatives in Upper Austria. He is also one of the stakeholder coordinators for the S3-programme Innovative Upper Austria 2020. Previous to the current position he was responsible for building up and managing some of the particular clusters and networks himself (e.g. logistics, mechatronics, plastics). Christian is holding a Master’s degree in engineering and economics and also a post graduate degree in international management.

Cluster Manager: Holger Czuday

Holger Czuday is project manager for cluster automotive and internationalization manager in Bayern Innovativ GmbH. He previously managed different projects in the State Development Agency in Thüringen. Holding a degree in business and engineering , he specialised in international cooperations, investment promotion, and technology infrastructure.
