Sustainable and Community-Centred Development of Smart Cities and Villages
In May 2020, SaMBA partner University of Ljubljana - Faculty of Electrical Engineering, published an article, featuring SaMBA project learnings and best practices. The article, 'Sustainable and Community-Centred Development of Smart Cities and Villages'(1) was published in MDPI Sustainability.
The article focuses on the concept of communities and community-driven development for sustainability, for example within the mobility sector, in which SaMBA is centered. It highlights the need to rethink how and by whom development is driven and argues for an approach that puts people and their needs in its midst.
The SaMBA project, with its focus on triggering behaviour change in mobility patterns, is one of the examples of how we can think foreward when designing and promoting sustainable development.
We wish you an interesting read and new insights.
