Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia - Chamber of Agricultural and Food Enterprises hosted a delegation of representatives from various research and economic institutions from different countries (Austria, France, Germany, Italy and Slovenia) who are participating in AlpBioEco project.
The meeting took place on 6th and 7th of May in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The main topics of the two-day meeting were the preparation of a publication for the analysis of value chains for apples, walnuts and herbs, the development of new business models for value chains and pilot testing of developed models.
At the meeting there was also presented a workshop methodology for individual value chains, through which will be possible to determinate business models for small and medium-sized agricultural and food companies. These business models for eco-innovative products will be tested in third work package of the AlpBioEco project.
For all project partners, who attended the meeting in Ljubljana there was also organized a tour of the museum history and beer production of the Slovenian company Pivovarna Laško Union d.o.o. and a tour to company Mirosan d.o.o and Mirovita d.o.o., who are specialized for apple value chain and where participants were able to see apple orchards and fruit processing areas.
