COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITIES

Youth Ambassadors Initiative

The Youth Ambassador initiative was established by the Interreg Alpine Space programme to bring young people into the heart of its project community. Ambassadors are embedded in active projects for a defined period, attending meetings, contributing to communications, and – where possible – visiting project sites across the Alpine arc.

The initiative is open to young people (18 and over) from across the Alpine region. We welcome applications from members of youth structures such as the EUSALP Youth Council, YPAC, CIPRA’s Climate Youth Committee, the ALCOTRA Youth Council, and the youth representations of Alpine national parks and protected areas, but you do not need to be affiliated with any of these organisations to apply. If you have a genuine connection to the Alpine region and a motivated interest in one of our projects, we want to hear from you.

Be part of the Alps. Shape what comes next.

FOR VOLUNTEERS

Are you a young volunteer willing to collaborate on projects? Fill the following form with your data and discover matching projects to collaborate with.

What you’ll gain

Being a Youth Ambassador gives you direct access to the European project environment that is otherwise hard to reach early in your career. You will develop skills in advocacy, communication and project monitoring, build a cross-border network of contacts, and leave with a documented, credible experience. More than that: you will understand, first-hand, how European cooperation actually works. Not as an abstraction, but as a practical process involving real organisations, real decisions and real places in the Alps.

FOR PROJECTS

Are you a project partner looking for a volunteer? Fill the following form with your data and meet volunteers ready to collaborate with you.

What an Ambassador brings

A Youth Ambassador is a motivated, informed observer who brings something your project may not be able to generate from within: the perspective of a young person who is both an end-user of the Alpine Space and a critical, engaged reader of your work. Hosting an Ambassador is flexible by design – ranging from participation in a specific event to longer-term involvement across several months. The programme’s communication team will support the match and help both sides define a clear, workable scope before the collaboration begins.
