Organised by the ATLAS project partner SUPSI, the conference "The solar envelope, alteration and coexistence in the balance of places" deals with the innovation on the photovoltaic market nowadays, the commitment in the field of solar compatibility, the energy recovery of historic buildings at European level in the Interreg Alpine Space ATLAS project and at international level within the activities of Task 59 of the International Energy Agency ( IEA).

Daniel Herrera (EURAC) will participate as lecturer to present the ATLAS project and the IEA SHC Task 59 activities, bringing the experience of Villa Castelli case study in Como (IT).

The event is organized with the support of the "BIPV meets History Project", within the framework of the Interreg V-A Italy-Switzerland Cooperation Program which will deal with the same topic in the next years and will be the occasion to present the magazine Solaris # 03 to the public together with the platform solarchitecture.ch in Ticino.

Following the event there will be a round table with Swiss and Italian representatives of institutional and local authorities, Interreg Partner CH – IT and Architects and engineers, to debate with the public on the potential for rehabilitating the existing building stock and on the opportunities for integrating solar also into historic buildings.
