This year’s EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK’s theme is safe walking and cycling. By focusing on these emission-free transport modes, it reflects deeply what SaMBA stands for: the promotion of low-carbon mobility in the Alpine Space.

It is interesting to see how the incentive of moving not only sustainably, but also in a healthy manner, can bring people to ride bikes and walk more often. Studies even show that cyclists live on average two years longer than non-cyclists.

SaMBA partners will take this week as an opportunity to promote sustainable transport options in their cities and to enter into a dialogue with citizens. Have a look what the cities of Koper (SI) and Chieri (IT) have planned!
