ADAPTNOW triggers further adaptation action in the city of Kempten

In the context of the Alpine Space Projekt ADAPTNOW a newly established climate adaptation working group discussed adaptation measures during a roundtable session on 5th of July 2023. Following disturbing facts on local climate change and information on the project, local stakeholders defined measures with highest priority. These include a climate adaptation information campaign for different target groups, integrating climate adaptation in administrative processes, climate-proof spatial development and strengthening water retention in the city (sponge city). It was consensus that status reports regarding the implementation of the defined measures will be part of the following meetings.
