We are proud to announce that the ASTER project is a member of ECOSYSTEX – the European Community of Practice for a Sustainable Textile Ecosystem. With over 70 EU-funded projects dedicated to textile sustainability, ECOSYSTEX was launched in early 2023 to foster collaboration in the fields of textile circularity and innovation.
By joining this dynamic network, ASTER – funded by the Interreg Alpine Space programme and focused on accelerating sustainable textile practices in the Alpine region – will benefit from new synergies, knowledge sharing, and a stronger collective impact on the green and digital transition of the textile, clothing, leather and footwear (TCLF) sectors.
The ECOSYSTEX platform is supported by the European Commission’s Horizon Europe programme and the Circular-Biobased Europe Joint Undertaking, and facilitated by Textile ETP. In 2025, its scope was expanded to include projects addressing skills and education, reflecting the growing importance of workforce development in achieving long-term systemic change.
ASTER’s integration into ECOSYSTEX will reinforce its mission to connect regional innovation with European-level initiatives, contributing to a more sustainable, resilient, and circular textile ecosystem.
