11 eager learners, 3 weeks, 6 evenings, 1 goal: digital competence
With the financial support of the Interreg Apollo project, a group of 11 motivated learners embarked on a three-week journey to build their digital competence. Over six evenings, we worked together to develop key skills in areas such as computer use, Word, Windows Explorer, Excel, Canva, and digital safety. We also explored the basics of artificial intelligence, discovering how much can be accomplished through clear instructions and simple exercises.
Instead of discussing the theory of digitalization, we focused on practical tasks: sorting files, explaining technical terms, formatting documents, calculating sums, discussing secure password practices, identifying fake links, writing our first AI prompts, and designing layouts in Canva.
Digital competence is not about inherent talent. It is about practice, understanding, and the willingness to experiment and learn. This is exactly what the eleven participants of the workshop series “Word, Excel, Artificial Intelligence, Email & More – Digital Made Easy” brought to the table.
