đ While weâre getting ready for an exciting transhumance day in Valcamonica, Italy, in May, we want to remember a special event we recently took part into.
Aptil 9th is European Wool Day, and last week we participated to the fourth edition with an online seminar organized by Agenzia Lane dâItalia in collaboration with Legambiente, GOMITOLOROSA ENTE FILANTROPICO, and Woolscape. We contributed with two interventions by our very own Agostina Lavagnino (Regione Lombardia) and Cassiano Luminati (Polo Poschiavo).
European Wool Day sets out to recognize the incredible potential of native wool as a sustainable, valuable resource. Despite its exceptional qualities, woolâs presence in textiles is only at 1%. The event and the related initiatives share a lot with AlpTextyles, starting from the aim to revive the textile industry at the economic, environmental, and sustainability levels. See you next year!
