We are pleased to announce that the Pilot reports on past and future weather extremes have now been published! These reports provide a comprehensive analysis of extreme weather events across our pilot areas, offering valuable insights into past trends and future projections under climate change.
As part of Work package 1 (WP1), the reports serve as a crucial knowledge resource for risk managers, practitioners, and analysts working to enhance climate resilience in the Alpine region.
The reports include:
- Key messages and main findings
- Analysis of past extreme weather events
- Typical meteorological conditions leading to extremes
- Expected changes in frequency and intensity of future events
- Methodology and data sources
You can find the reports on the project website under the “Outcomes” tab → 1st outcome: Digital library on past and future weather extremes across the AS, including the webGIS platform and the tailored studies for the pilots – How to exploit the new knowledge and data for practice.
These findings contribute to a stronger understanding of climate risks, supporting informed decision-making and adaptation strategies in the Alpine region.
