We are proud to share that our project X-RISK-CC was featured as part of the 25th Anniversary celebrations of the Interreg Alpine Space Programme, held at the Salzburg Congress from 12 to 14 May 2025.
Our project partner EURAC Research represented X-RISK-CC during the event’s Project EXPO, where successful initiatives that have shaped the Alpine region over the past 25 years were showcased. The event brought together programme partners, stakeholders, and experts to reflect on the value and future of transnational cooperation in the Alpine area.
In addition, Marc Zebisch, Head of the Center for Climate Change and Transformation at EURAC Research, participated in a high-level panel discussion titled “25 Years of Transnational Cooperation: Projects that Shaped the Alpine Region.” This panel brought together experienced voices from across the Alpine region to reflect on the lasting impact of European collaboration in fields such as climate risk, spatial planning, mobility, and sustainable development.
Marc Zebisch contributed his expertise by highlighting the early and influential work on climate risk and spatial planning, reinforcing the importance of integrated, cross-border approaches in addressing shared challenges like extreme weather events—core to the mission of X-RISK-CC.
The event served not only as a celebration of past achievements but also as an inspiration for future innovation and resilience in the Alpine Space.
We are honored to be part of this collaborative legacy and look forward to continuing our work to support climate resilience and adaptation across the region.
