Towards Alpine Age-Friendly Environment
The center of the project is the so-called TRIO. A team composed of at least: 1 SENIOR representing the voice of the elderly, 1 FACILITATOR which facilitates the work in the field and acts as multiplier into the society and 1 POLICY MAKER / REPRESENTATIVE OF THE LOCAL ADMINISTRATION to anchor the understanding of age-friendly environments in long-term.
During the first phase of the project we do improve the understanding of age-friendly environments (AFE). This happens through a) trainings on transnational level (push), b) weekly skype calls with facilitators (pull) to understand the national situation and provide tools to improve the knowhow on national level (push), c) interviews (pull) on national level and c) workshops on national level (push).
In the second phase of the project we develop and roll-out a toolkit to enable the trios on national level to manage one project in one domain of AFE in co-creation.
In the third phase of the project the TRIOs run projects on national level to improve the quality of life of elderlies in the alpine space. The impact is linked to hard- and soft-KPIs.
We plan to anchor both the co-creation approach and the understanding of AFE in the long-term. We elaborate a manual based on the AFE methodology implemented in the 6 pilot areas to be used by other public institutions and a T.A.A.F.E strategy for an age-friendly alpine space with concrete recommendations on age friendliness.
