In recent months, the DiMark project has been presented through several scientific and public communication activities organised by the INRAE CARRTEL team in France.
DiMark research and objectives were shared at the CARRTEL Scientific Meeting in March 2026, the CARRTEL Scientific Days in June and during the Mid-Term Progress Review of the CIPEL 2021–2030 Action Plan. The presentations highlighted current research activities and the development of improved models for detecting and providing early warnings of harmful algal and cyanobacterial blooms.
DiMark also reached lake users during the Boating Days event held in Thonon-les-Bains on 30–31 May 2026. Information materials were distributed to raise awareness of the potential risks associated with toxic cyanobacteria and to explain how people can recognise potentially affected areas and protect themselves, children and animals.
By combining scientific knowledge, environmental monitoring and clear public information, DiMark contributes to safer and more sustainable use of Alpine lakes.
