Under the motto 'Alps in Transition' the AlpWeek will be held this year in Brig, Switzerland. The AlpWeek is an international event co-organised by the leading Alpine organisations committed to mountain protection and sustainable development.

Focus of the event will be how to rethink Alpine lifestyles for an ecologically, socially and economically sustainable transition in order to address unprecedented environmental and sustainability challenges, find solutions and different approaches to successfully accomplish the ecological transition in the Alps.

Don´t miss the Alpine Space workshop "How can we improve energy efficiency in the Alpine Space?"
We will focus on local and innovative solutions developed by Alpine Space projects to improve energy efficiency: the use of biomass, microgrids and e-mobility solutions.
Based on the results and experiences of the Alpine Space projects ALPGRIDS, BB-CLEAN and e-SMART, we will see how local solutions in the Alpine cities and rural areas can make a difference to the energy transition at Alpine level. The discussion will then focus on the challenges posed by the implementation of these solutions as well as on the broader issues at stake, such as energy sufficiency.

More infos regarding the programme and registration are available on the AlpWeek website.
