Projects EXPO | Salzburg, 12–13 May 2025
Woolshed was honoured to take part in the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the Interreg Alpine Space Programme, a cornerstone of European territorial cooperation in the Alpine region. Represented by Prof. Gabriele Monti (IUAV University of Venice, Lead Partner) and Mustafa Ozer (Impact Hub Vienna), the project joined the two-day event in Salzburg, which brought together institutions, communities, and projects that have contributed to shaping a more cohesive, sustainable, and innovative Alpine Space over the past quarter-century.
As part of the Projects EXPO, Woolshed presented its vision and methodology through a dedicated project booth and a visual presentation showcasing its strategy to regenerate the Alpine wool value chain. Visitors were invited to discover how Woolshed is pioneering new uses for coarse wool — from architecture and design to ecological packaging — by leveraging digital fabrication, community-based innovation, and transnational collaboration.
Our presence at the EXPO was more than symbolic. It was a moment of pride and visibility for a project that embodies the programme’s mission: transforming regional challenges into shared opportunities. By participating in this prestigious arena alongside other cutting-edge initiatives, Woolshed affirmed its commitment to innovation rooted in heritage, green transition, and cross-border cooperation.
The event also offered valuable opportunities for networking and dialogue with stakeholders, programme representatives, and fellow projects, strengthening the Woolshed community and its connections across the Alpine macro-region.
Being part of this celebration meant stepping into a collective narrative — one where Woolshed, though young, already plays a meaningful role in continuing the long and dynamic story of Alpine cooperation.
