Description
The RESPOnD partnership will be taking part to the VIII International Congress on Mountain and Steep-Slope Viticulture, entitled “Heroic Vineyards: A Source of Inspiration for World Viticulture”, held from 6th to 8th of May 2026, in Montreux, Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Geneva.
The Congress represents an international reference point for heroic viticulture, a sector that combines scientific research, sustainability, landscape protection, and the enhancement of human labor in complex contexts.
The scientific program of the Congress includes sessions, masterclasses, and guided visits, providing a platform for discussion and networking among researchers, technicians, institutions, and operators. In the context of climate and economic changes, mountain and steep-slope viticulture plays a strategic role in soil conservation, biodiversity, water management, and the safeguarding of territories and local communities. Scientific research is essential to innovate, adapt, and enhance these production systems.
If you want to know more about RESPOnD and viticulture in general, do not hesitate to actively participate in the Congress, either by registering but also by presenting oral or poster communications, sharing results, experiences, and best practices!
