Description

Negotiation is an essential component of decision-making, particularly in the context of land use, where different sectors often have diverging needs, priorities and visions for the same space. Ensuring that these perspectives are adequately considered requires structured dialogue and effective mediation within spatial governance processes.

Negotiation Workshop will be organised in April in Bolzano, Italy, within the framework of the BrokeringSpaces project. The workshop will bring together project partners and selected stakeholders to explore and test negotiation processes related to land use and spatial planning.

The objective of the workshop is to strengthen participants’ capacities by providing knowledge and practical approaches that support decision-making in situations involving competing interests. Particular attention will be given to fostering constructive dialogue, enhancing mutual understanding and identifying pathways towards more balanced and sustainable spatial solutions.

By strengthening negotiation and mediation capacities, the workshop contributes to more inclusive and coordinated spatial decision-making in Alpine regions.
