The Interreg Alpine Space programme is currently designing its successor for 2028–2034. As part of this process, we are convening the first transnational Stakeholder Workshop in Salzburg in September 2026.
The discussion will focus on first reflections on the Territorial Analysis currently underway: what are the defining challenges of the Alpine region? What trends are shaping its future? What does transnational cooperation contribute that national or regional programmes cannot? These reflections will feed directly into the strategic choices of the next programme.
The workshop is an opportunity to contribute to the 2028+ process at an early and genuinely influential stage — before priorities are set.
We are reserving a limited number of places for stakeholders from across the Alpine region who are not part of the programme's formal governance structures. If your work touches on topics relevant to the Alpine territory (climate adaptation, innovation, sustainable mobility, energy transition, spatial planning, biodiversity or related fields) we invite you to express your interest.
Places are limited. Selection will consider thematic background, stakeholder type and geographic balance across the Alpine Space countries.
Deadline: 10 August 2026 — Selected participants will be notified by mid-August 2026.
