The Interreg Alpine Space programme is fully starting into the activities of the programming period 2021-2027. On 22-23 November, we will kick-off this new period in an online conference, which will be the occasion to look back on what Alpine Space projects have achieved in the past seven years, as well as to learn more about the funding priorities for 2021-2027.

Dr. Lučka Kajfež Bogataj

Slovenian climatologist, specialist in agricultural meteorology

Co-recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, she is one of Slovenia’s pioneers in researching the impact of climate change. She is a full professor and lecturer at the Faculty of Biotechnology, and teaches at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and the Faculty of Architecture. Since 1996, she has been the head of the Centre for Biometeorology at the Faculty of Biotechnics.

Dr. Brigitta Pallauf

President of the regional Parliament of the Land Salzburg, Austria

Dr. Pallauf is an Austrian politician. She is the president of the Salzburg state parliament since 2018 and a lawyer as well as a mediator. Moreover she is the deputy representative of the Province of Salzburg in the ‘Committee of the Regions’ of the EU since 2013.

Leonore Gewessler

Federal Minister for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology   

Leonore Gewessler has been the director of GLOBAL 2000, an environmental protection organisation of Austria in 2014-2019. After having been a member of the National Council, she is now the Austrian Federal Minister for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology.
