đ AlpTextyles on mountain research at the IMC25 in Innsbruck.

In September, AlpTextyles joined the International Mountain Conference 2025 in Innsbruck â one of the leading events for interdisciplinary mountain research.
Across four intense days, our Markus Lambracht from FAU Erlangen-NĂŒrnberg contributed to the open conversations on how mountain territories can navigate todayâs challenges and opportunities.

Â

In his presentation, Markus explored how wool can become a driver of value creation in mountain economies. His talk in the session âAdding value to wool, from globalization to the circular economyâ (FS 3.175) highlighted the interplay between global markets and local circular practices, and what this could mean for more sustainable futures in mountain areas.
The insights shared stem from the first âMappingâ phase of AlpTextyles, which you can discover in this trailer.
