iiSBE Italia R&D together with its Promoting Organization UNCEM (National Union of Municipalities Mountain Communities) have organized, in the context of the European project Interreg Alpine Space ADAPTNOW, a fruitful Regional Event, for sharing and discuss on climate risk analysis and about the integration of climate adaptation into urban planning. Important contributions on the adaptation of mountain territories to climate change were provided by the National President of Uncem Marco Bussone and the President of Uncem Piedmont Roberto Colombero.
Andrea Moro and Elena Bazzan of iiSBE Italia R&D, then illustrated the climate analysis activities conducted on the pilot case study, namely the Municipality of Chivasso (TO), in the context of the ADAPTNOW project, which sees Uncem as the promoter of this innovative climate service in mountain territorial contexts. At the end of the seminar, attention was drawn to the importance of integrating climate adaptation into urban planning, a challenge that is currently underway. Over 60 participants attended the seminar, highly motivated, with whom synergies of cooperation were triggered to address the “hot topic” of climate change.
