Cradle to Cradle in the Alpine Space: From Project Insights to the Final Conference

Oct 1, 2025

September brought key opportunities for the Cradle-ALP project to share its progress. With two major events – a transregional online gathering and an Advisory Board meeting – we had the opportunity to present results, exchange insights, and collect valuable feedback that will help us drive forward circular innovation in the Alpine Space well beyond the project’s end.

At the transregional event, participants from across the Alpine region discovered how cradle-to-cradle principles and circular substitutions can strengthen industrial processes. The sessions showcased practical tools such as the Quick-Scan and LCA guidelines, illustrating how businesses can begin to implement circularity in their everyday operations. The atmosphere was one of exchange and inspiration, as regional experiences and perspectives came together to highlight the transformative potential of cradle to cradle design.

The Advisory Board meeting, held later in the month, offered a more focused platform for discussion. Experts and partners reflected on lessons learned so far, shared insights on funding opportunities to support SMEs, and presented first outcomes from political dialogues in different Alpine regions. This exchange confirmed that Cradle-ALP is not only delivering concrete tools for companies, but also shaping the broader conditions that enable industries to move toward sustainability.

Both events demonstrated that the Alpine Space community is ready to embrace cradle to cradle design as a driver of transformation. They also set the stage for the next big step: bringing everyone together to celebrate achievements, share results, and look ahead to the future of circularity in industry.

Looking Ahead: The Final Conference – October 14th, 2025

We are now preparing for the Final Conference of Cradle-ALP, titled Driving Circular Transformation in the Alpine Space. The event will take place on October 14th, 2025, at Padova Hall – Engineering Hub of the University of Padova, Italy, with the possibility to join online via Zoom.

This will be the moment to get inspired by groundbreaking cradle to cradle innovations for European industries, discover success stories and hands-on experiences from businesses already embracing circularity, and connect with key players shaping sustainable futures across the Alpine region.

Don’t miss the chance to be part of the circular revolution. The registration link will be shared soon – follow us to stay updated!
