Circular Time Lab featured by the European Commission

In December 2025, the Circular Time Lab, a pilot project led by our partner Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), was selected and published on the European Commission’s REGIO Newsroom.

The article highlights the Circular Time Lab as a living laboratory for circular construction in Lucerne, where architecture students and apprentices collaboratively design and rebuild wooden structures using circular principles. The initiative is part of the Interreg Alpine Space project BAUHALPS – Building Circular in the Alps and represents the Swiss pilot within the project.

We are proud of our partner in Lucerne and this recognition at European level, which underlines the value of cross-border cooperation, education and hands-on experimentation in advancing circular construction in the Alpine region.
