What will Interreg programmes look like in the future? What can we expect from cohesion policy in the coming years?
Discussions on these crucial issues (and many more) were at the heart of this year’s Interreg Knowledge Fair, which took place from 5 to 7 March at the marvellous Latvian National Library in Riga (Latvia), known as the “Castle of Light”.
The three-day event brought together more than 200 Interreg colleagues to discuss the key issues in implementing cooperation and to consider how Interreg can be even more effective in the future.
The Knowledge Fair offered 30+ sessions: the first and third days were dedicated to programme management and implementation issues; the activities of the second day focused on the future of Interreg, with insights from the High Level Working Group on the Future of Cohesion Policy.
Thomas Fleury, Denise de Roux and Nuno Madeira proudly represented the Alpine Space programme during the event. We were particularly happy to have been given the opportunity to share our experience on citizens engagement, small-scale projects and programme indicators.
