Last weekend, we had the opportunity to take part in the inspiring conference and workshop “Space of Possibilities”, organized by the Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO) and Centre for Creativity (CzK) as the NEB network organization in Slovenia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.
Held in the beautiful MAO park in Ljubljana under the majestic tree canopies, the event offered a unique opportunity for connection, knowledge exchange, and exploration of new approaches to sustainable urban and rural built environments, driven by NEB principles such as sustainability, beauty, and community-building.
We were proud to present our project BAUHALPS, which focuses on circular and sustainable construction in the Alpine region, grounded in NEB values. The event also allowed us to connect with like-minded projects from across Europe, such as NONA – New Governance for New Spaces, which promotes green investment in degraded areas of the Danube region.
One of the highlights was hearing firsthand about the inspiring revitalization of the museum site of the Old Ironworks in Ravne na Koroškem. This project builds on the region’s long-standing ironworking tradition to foster local tourism and community development, showcasing how tradition and innovation can come together to support sustainable local growth.
We look forward to future collaboration and knowledge exchange between the Alpine and Danube regions. Together, we can contribute to more sustainable and innovative solutions for the future!
