As part of the AMETHYST project, the partner Agenzia per l’Energia del Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy) with contributions from all project partners has successfully completed and released a key project output titled: “Development Guideline for Local Alpine Green Hydrogen Ecosystem – Capitalization of Local Alpine Green H₂ Ecosystem.”
This document presents a comprehensive, step-by-step methodology for designing, testing, and evaluating green hydrogen (H₂) applications tailored to Alpine contexts. It supports public authorities and H₂ project developers in aligning hydrogen production with local energy ecosystems and regional demand—ensuring both environmental sustainability and long-term economic viability.
Grounded in practical insights from pilot activities, the methodology offers a solid foundation for scaling up green hydrogen initiatives across the Alpine space. By combining strategic planning with hands-on guidance, it facilitates informed decision-making for a cleaner, hydrogen-powered future.
The guideline is now available for download on the AMETHyST website under the “Outcomes” section.
We invite all stakeholders, planners, and decision-makers in the energy sector to explore this valuable resource.
